The above picture is from a 1997 episode of the Simpson's, you can make out it's Lisa holding up the magazine. It's one of many pictures that'll come up if you search for something like '9/11 predictive programming' as the image seems to allude to the September 11th terrorist attacks before they happened, with the twin towers forming the 11.
Of course, no one in their right mind would think this was anything other than a coincidence, but what about the following?
Twelve years ago the pilot episode of the X-Files spin of show, the Lone Gunmen, aired for the first time. The plot was essentially this, a secretive faction within the US government hijacked a commercial airliner and attempted to fly it into the World Trade Centre by remote control. The intention was to blame the attack on a foreign interests to justify an increase in the military defence budget and to fight an international war on terror. Crucially, the plot was covered by being dressed up as a war game scenario, an exercise that then went real world.
The pilot aired on March 4th 2001, just over six months before the attacks of September 11th. What on earth?
Ok, I can see that Hollywood producers are paid to think up creative story lines, I can imagine one of them might come up with the idea of a plane being hijacked and flown into a building. And if it's going to be a building in the USA, then it's going to be either the Empire State Building or the Twin Towers, so could it be a coincidence?
The thing that gets me though is the war games. As I said, in the show the plot was covered by a war game, a military exercise. Well on the real September 11th there were war games going on too, several in fact. The really relevant one being Operation Vigilant Guardian, The US air force was carrying out a simulated attack on America's air defences, which included, wait for it, a simulated hijacking drill!
The following video is an interview of Dean Haglund, one of the actors who stared on the show, where he talks about this episode. It also contains the relevant clip from the show. Haglund himself came to believe that 9/11 was indeed an inside job and mentions how the CIA infiltrate Hollywood.
(The relevant section starts at four minutes and twenty four seconds).
So on September 11th, as real planes were being hijacked, a drill simulating a hijacking was taking place and this exact scenario had been envisioned in a TV show, which had aired six months earlier. In the TV show the attacks were carried out to justify a war on terror and in the real world the attacks justified a war on terror. And all this is a complete coincidence?
It's not the only time this sort of thing has happened. On July 7th 2005, the date of the London bombings, an unnamed group was running an exercise around three bombs going off at the same stations where they actually did go off, at the same time. Again all by coincidence! Here's the dialogue when Peter Power, the man running the exercise, was interviewed on radio that day:
And the same was the case in Norway, the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten reported that the police concluded an anti terror drill 'almost identical' to the attacks carried out by Anders Breivik, just hours before those attacks commenced. To be precise, Breivik's bomb went of twenty six minutes after the exercise finished. Did you know that?
It's not the only time future events have been echoed in literature either, take a look at the image below:
You be forgiven for thinking that this was a book written about the Titanic, but it wasn't. This book was about a fictional ship called the Titan. Roughly the same size as the Titanic it was also the largest ship ever built and considered unsinkable. Both ships sunk on an April night when hit by an iceberg on the Starboard side, both were in the North Atlantic four hundred miles from Newfoundland although they were going in opposite directions. And finally most of the passengers and crew perished on both due to, yeap you guessed it, lack of lifeboats.
What makes all this strange is, the book was written in 1898, fourteen years before the Titanic set sail! (I'm not sure if this cover is from a later edition). Given the other inconsistencies around the Titanic, (like was it really the Titanic or in fact its sister ship the Olympic that sank, more on this another time), it seems we have here another event with a highly dubious explanation being preconceived in literature.
Are these echo’s of the future, or the secret group behinds these events programming us through the media? Do you still think that picture of Lisa Simpson is just a coincidence?
